Class Action Claims

The firm’s Class Action Litigation Department is headed by Adv. Tammy Greenberg. The department includes two teams: (a) Monitoring of Product Liability Class Action claims which are covered by Insurance Policies. The team is supervised by Adv. Em-Lee Polakiewicz (b) Defence Litigation of class actions in two specific areas – Pharmaceutical Class Actions i.e. claims filed by way of class action against pharmaceutical companies, and Class actions against insurance companies. At least once a month a Class Action claim is filed against local Insurers, regarding alleged faults in their activities.

The team usually represents 3-4 Insurers who are claimed in the claims, and thus it is able to offer lower prices for its services.

Adv. Tammy Greenberg constantly lectures in various legal conferences in Israel and abroad regarding class actions.

Head of the Litigation Department dealing with multi-jurisdictional claims, Class Actions, Insurance Coverage Litigation of all types of insurance. Her vast experience in litigation makes her one of the most prominent litigators in Israel. Peggy’s team has special expertise in complex Space and Aviation Product Liability and subrogation claims on behalf of local and foreign insurers.

In the past twenty years Tammy has specialized in Insurance and Reinsurance disputes. Her work involves litigation in various fields: Class Actions in insurance matters and consumer claims, Property, Agriculture, Chemical products, Pharmaceutical companies, Banking, Professional Indemnity medical Malpractice, and others. Tammy has served as a Disciplinary Court Judge of the Israel Bar Association.

Adv. Sharon Shefer

Sharon heads the Jewelers’ Block Insurance Department and the Energy, Oil and Gas Department. Sharon currently acts for Insurers of the oil and gas industry in some of the largest claims submitted in Israel, mainly gas explosions, accidents etc. Sharon worked for several months during her training period in the London Market, and has served this market and the German market since 1997.

Keren is the Head of the Insurance & Reinsurance Audit Department. Keren’s expertise includes financial and legal audit of claims, and reviewing underwriting files. Keren has developed a special knowledge of Reinsurance Contracts and has participated in several Reinsurance Litigations. Keren is also part of the Aviation team led by Adv. Peggy Sharon.
