Over 350 participants attended the Annual Conference of Levitan, Sharon & Co. on 23rd May, 2024
The annual conference of Levitan, Sharon & Co. law firm for the Israeli insurance market took place in the beautiful Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, and was attended by over 350 participants from insurance companies, insurance consultants, agents and loss adjusters.
The lectures given at the conference included topics related to the war, as well as general insurance hot topics such as Policy War Exclusions and the proof of the causal connection between the damage and the war risk (Adv. Peggy Sharon) the comparison between the indemnification under the Policy and the compensation from the State paid through Property Tax Authorities (Adv. Sharon Shefer and Adv. Karin Bar El), Class Action claims on the background of the war (Adv. Tammy Greenberg and Adv. Aviv Klepner), Reinsurance issues (Adv. Keren Marco), proof of fraud of an officer of the company (Adv. Moshe Abady), cancellation of a policy due to non-payment of a premium (Adv. Em-Lee Polakiewicz) and Section 68 of the Insurance Contract Law and the Insured’s objection to a compromise settlement suggested by the Insurer in Liability Insurance (Adv. Rotem Weiss).
The guest lecturer, Dr. Aviv Gaon from Reichman University, lectured on Artificial Intelligence and its impact on individual life.
The conference concluded with a dialogue between Adv. Rachel Levitan, the founder of the firm, who after 42 years will now be a consultant of the firm, and Adv. Peggy Sharon, about significant and special insurance cases that have been handled by the firm over the years.
The conference was marked as a sign of solidarity with the families of the hostages, hoping for the return of their loved ones home as soon as possible.
